First woman in space turns 70

First_woman_in_space Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to travel into space, has just celebrated her 70th birthday.  The former textile worker was 26 when she became the fifth Russian cosmonaut to go into the Earth's orbit, back in June 1963.  On her return, she was pronounced a 'Hero of the Soviet Union' and has a lunar crater named after her.  Apparently, she still dreams of going to Mars...
